martin creed's co-mmission at tate britain

by great good fortune, i was able to finish work soon enough to watch some of martin creed's runners strut their stuff through the old tate gallery this afternoon ... this sort of thing gives us beginners a great opportunity to mess around with the picture editor when we get home ... instead of hoovering and dusting and polishing our medallions

I love the first three especially.

This may sound weird but - not knowing what they were of and because their features were so dim and because I hadn't enlarged them yet - I at first thought they might actually be statues, posed perfectly as runners in mid-stride!

thanx and cheers !

some of us persistently watch boring sports like soccer for those moments of spectacular grace that encapsulate the miracle of human energy
