Heavens to Murgatroyd! Now I simply must scurry into the kitchen and concoct two caramel apples: Insert a stick into the stem end of each apple. In a sauce pan put handfuls of your favorite caramel squares, pour in some apple brandy and heat slowly, stirring occasionally until the caramel is melted. (If the caramel is too thick, add a little more apple brandy!) Toast the pecans; put them into a bowl and combine with sea salt. Dip the apples into the melted caramel and then the apple bottom (yes, yes the sides, too) into the pecan-salt mixture. Let cool on wax paper.
