In a few days, you've done very well. It's the detail that counts isn't it? Did you go to the Academia, I wonder, and see the tempesta of Giorgione, and the Bellini Madonnas, which always make me think of teenage single mums, and which are in the same room?
The last time I tried to visit the Academia there was a very long queue of Americans (it must have been several years ago) and I gave up. On numerous previous visits admission was free. I agree about the postcards.

we felt slightly cheated, because they charge so much for entry, and especially as their postcards are rubbish !
