on my way home i stopped to take a picture of the power station from queenstown road just below chelsea bridge

then i decided to cycle up to hyde park ....

mythical party people at edinburgh gate

 

the albert memorial ... who said taste had anything to do with it ?

 

... count the golden angels

 

queen's gate ... red-leaded & ready for painting

i'd love to have seen the foundry that made these gates ... & met the workers

they must have taken huge satisfaction from the job

 

i wanted to go home and fetch my paints

the hereford arms ... they don't make 'em like they used to !

it must be nearly time for madonna to star in the remake of metropolis, and here's chelsea power station crying out to be used

 

dull would he be of soul who could pass by a sight so touching in its majesty
