    My boyhood is steeped in treacle...and the love of its lavish tins...but I didn't come across the 'black treacle' until I visited a middle-class home...a superior product, and a superior tin...imagine my shame...

    getting back on-line was a short saga involving at leat eleven bt employees in at least three countries

    six degrees of separation doesn't work in the bt information tree

  4. I buy golden syrup at some expense here, one of those little expat weaknesses. I find it so hard to throw the tins out, I can't believe something of such rare beauty can be so commonplace. But we have as many golden syrup pen and pencil holders as we can cope with...
