of the seven deadly sins, the eighth and worst by far is emotional blackmail ... the diligent practise of this subtle and ancient art creates a constantly evolving darwinistic moral vacuum in which the brightest new manipulative ideas and stratagems flourish ... and which only you, or i, can fill !
sadly it is a dead tree & as the second photo shows more clearly, the red colour was paint ... my impression when i first saw it was that it had been painted in the previous year ( 2004 ? ), probably by someone using a hydraulic platform for access to the bare boughs
The red tree is very sad now. I have worked at the farm for many years long before it was painted red. It's still standing and up close you can still see some red paint. It'a pity the cows weren't pout there when the phot was taken
Well worth the visit!
ReplyDeleteLooks almost like a red madrona tree, native to the Pacific Northwest... but I imagine they'd grow in the U.K. also.
ReplyDeleteVery rare trees... under-appreciated here.
it is great to hear from you both
