all the new bits of the sagrada familia are moulded concrete

whatever shapes the current builders design, closely following gaudi's original scheme of things, their brilliantly clever modern concrete moulding techniques can never look good against his traditional workers' original hand-carved stonework

this project could have kept an army of catalan masons in work for another century or more

it vexes me almost as much as real madrid's selling claude makelele to chelsea, or tony blair privatising the hospital oxygen supply

lunchtime at the bluebell railway

it is lucky for me that my current round takes me past the bluebell railway as i go from ockenden manor to ashdown park

i took my half-hour break at horsted keynes station, paying this feller a whole pound for my platform ticket

money well spent !

i was just in time to see the arrival and departure of two lovely old steam trains
