of the seven deadly sins, the eighth and worst by far is emotional blackmail ... the diligent practise of this subtle and ancient art creates a constantly evolving darwinistic moral vacuum in which the brightest new manipulative ideas and stratagems flourish ... and which only you, or i, can fill !

I think this is my favorite photo on this page so far. Is the golden color a result of the sodium lights? And why do the cars appear to be driving on the right?
Thanks again for sharing the photos, they're wonderful.
yes, the street lights give that strong yellow cast ... i think there is an inbuilt camera option that will over-ride such a "colour-cast" but i haven't studied the manual yet & learned to use it
i guess the longish exposure over-exposes and so distorts the red of car brake lights, in battersea we do drive on the left
the cars on the right are cabs parked up opposite the taxi office

i'll check out your site forthwith
I have a digital camera that will also adjust the colors automatically, but I prefer to snap the picture and let the results surprise me.

What a beautiful photo. I like the gold very much -- it makes me think of the bronze shield found in the Thames under the bridge there.
