i've been waiting for the chance to photograph battersea reference library in this light
What a pretty building. It looks quite diminutive, and the basic shape like they could have been made from a set of child's building blocks. You were right to wait for the light for the detail.
Such a satisfying building, its lines and detail all of a piece. As an erstwhile reference librarian I love the idea of a dedicated building - usually we are an adjunct, stuffed somewhere upstairs.

What a beautiful old building! If only they still built them like that around here.
welcome to you both
it is a low building but there is plenty of room inside and it is often packed out with serious adult students

hullo and thanx for visiting ... i've often wished that reference libraries might be bigger and have space to grow ... culture needs space and warmth
