gardeners' question time ... name these ten foot monsters in the courtyard of the V&A
They're Echium pininanas - they grow a lot in Cornwall; I once pinched some echium seed from a garden in St Ives and raised seedlings, but they came to nothing here in Norfolk - too cold. Great for the V & A - sculptural.
